Design and Architecture Tradeoffs Learned from Deploying Second-Life Energy Storage Systems

When an automotive battery comes out of its first life usage in an electric vehicle, it can still have 70% or more of its useful capacity remaining. These batteries must be either stored, recycled or can be redeployed in second life energy storage. Nuvation Energy has successfully field deployed many second-life energy storage systems.

Join Steve Miller, Principal Design Engineer for Nuvation Energy, who will present lessons learned from real world design and architecture tradeoffs. This webinar will include comparing pack disassembly to build module based second-life systems versus reusing packs in their automotive form factor. In both approaches, Nuvation Energy will present case studies that convert automotive standards to SunSpec energy storage storage models required for stationary energy storage systems.

Webinar Date: Wednesday December 8th at 9AM PDT / 12PM EDT
